Laboratory
The primary mission of Savoy Medical Center's Laboratory is to process tests on various body fluids including blood and urine. These tests help the physician to confirm a clinical impression or establish a diagnosis, rule out a diagnosis, monitor therapy, establish prognosis, and screen for detection of diseases.
The Laboratory offers services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Location of the Laboratory is on the 1st floor on the Northwest Wing adjacent to the Emergency Room.
The services provided include Procuring specimens; Testing various tissues adn body fluids; Report to Physicians; Quality control and proficiency testing; Decontamination, and waste disposal.
The services provided also include Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbioloby, Parasitology, Seriology, and Blood Bank.
The Laboratory Department services the following patient population, including but not limited to:
- Patients of all acuity
- Patients from any geographical location rural areas / urban areas
- Patients of all socioeconomic status
- Patients of all ages
- Patients with any clinical condition or diagnosis
